In order to formulate the environmental management plan for the Chiguasuque wetland and update the environmental management plans for the El Burro and La Vaca wetlands, a limnological characterization of the wetlands was carried out, including phytoplankton, zooplankton and benthic macroinvertebrates.

To advance the route of declaration and participatory construction of the Ditaires Wetland Management Plan in the municipality of Itagüí-Antioquia, Colombia. Aburrá Valley Metropolitan Area. Contract C.M.688 of 2018..
Field work was carried out for the characterization of vegetation cover, flora and fauna. Through participatory workshops, the ecosystem services, conservation targets and conservation objectives of the area in the process of declaration were defined. A summary document was prepared for technical evaluation by the Alexander von Humboldt Institute. The environmental zoning of the protected area was established and the corresponding environmental management plan was designed.

Field work was carried out for the physicochemical and hydrobiological characterization of the system formed by the El Quimbo reservoir, the Betania reservoir and the section of the Magdalena River between these two reservoirs, including the lagoons of the adjacent flood plain. Numerical models were developed to predict the water quality of the two reservoirs and the Magdalena River, considering different scenarios of management and management of the system.
