As part of the studies and designs for the delimitation of the water course and reconformation and restoration works of the Aguas Calientes, San Juan and Patiño streams, within the scope of the project Ciudad Lagos de Torca, north of Bogota, field studies and numerical analysis were carried out for the characterization of terrestrial fauna (insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals) in the streams. The ecohydrological report was prepared for the restoration designs, considering ecohydrological criteria and the results of the water quality modeling of the streams. The study of fragmentation and connectivity model of the streams was elaborated through a multitemporal analysis of the vegetation covers (1960, 1984, 2017) considering the ecosystems of the eastern hills of Bogota.

As part of the development of detailed designs for the construction of the hydrogeomorphological reconformation and ecological recovery works of the Torca - Guaymaral wetland, within the scope of the project Ciudad Lagos de Torca, north of Bogota, field studies and numerical analysis were conducted for the characterization of terrestrial fauna (amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals) and vascular and non-vascular epiphytic flora of the wetland. Vegetation cover maps (1960, 1982, 2017) were prepared for the fragmentation study and connectivity model of the Torca - Guaymaral wetland in an area of 6457 ha that includes, from east to west, the eastern hills to the Bogotá River and, from south to north, from the northern boundary of the largest urbanization of the urban area of Bogotá to the Bogotá River.

Measurements were made to estimate GHG emission fluxes in terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. The main biogeochemical fluxes occurring in the wetland complex associated with CO2, CH4 and N2O were identified and carbon content and production rates in sediments and aquatic macrophytes were estimated.

As part of the evaluation of the potential of two alternative polygons for the implementation of a drinking water supply system for the city of Santa Marta, in the department of Magdalena - Colombia, a basic identification and comparison of environmental restrictions in two areas of the Colombian Caribbean coast was carried out, in order to identify early on the existing environmental restrictions for the areas of interest.

The biotic characterization of the area of influence of the sources of dragging and quarry materials associated with functional units 1 to 4 of the Villavicencio - Yopal road concession project was carried out. In this characterization, the terrestrial fauna and flora and the aquatic systems present in the area were studied. The environmental impacts on the biotic resource were identified and the Environmental Management Plans for their mitigation, correction or compensation were proposed.
